P1 Compute Workshop: Version control systems and reproducible science

Type

Join us at the Pioneer Centre for AI as Nick and Tommy teach a practical workshop introducing participants to version control systems and reproducible science.

Nick will give a from scratch introduction to git, while also supplying exercises both for newcomers and experienced git users. We will cover concepts such as branches, diffs, staging and tips & tricks will all be examined. Git is highly useful both as a means of backing up your code, but also as a tool for collaboration and publication of your code.

Tommy will examine topics in data management and planning.
