The Pioneer Centre for AI contributes to novel solutions to some of the most pressing societal challenges in Denmark and globally. For each of the centre’s research collaboratories, there is a subset of projects with a view to both taking on a real world problem and at the same time challenging the state of the art in basic AI.
Many of the societal challenges intersect with each other. Inclusion, fairness and ethics are, for example, cross-cutting in all areas.
Research project will improve diagnostics and treatment of strokes with artificial intelligence
Together with Cerebriu, and danish hospitals, the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, has received millions in Investment from Innovation Fund Denmark to improve stroke care with artificial intelligence. The research project Stroke will deliver the world’s first solution to significantly improve MRI-based stroke treatment and clinical workflow efficiency.
