About

The Workshop on Learning and Optimal Control (LOCO) brings together researchers studying how to learn, decide, and act optimally in dynamical systems.

Relevant ideas are advancing across several communities, including control and systems theory, statistical and sequential learning, stochastic systems, online optimization and reinforcement learning, and formal models of learning and action. Although these fields often use different assumptions, objectives, and techniques, they address closely related questions concerning exploration, stability, robustness, and decision-making in partially known systems.

LOCO aims to provide a focused setting for sharing recent advances, identifying common challenges, and fostering open discussion and collaboration across different disciplines, institutions, and research communities who are interested in learning and optimal control.

Participation is free of charge and includes breakfast and lunch. Participants will also have the possibility of presenting a poster during the workshop.

Find more information here.

Registration deadline: 1 September 2026.

The workshop is supported by P1 and the Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA).

Learning and Optimal Control in Dynamical Systems

The workshop is organised by the P1 Program on Learning and Optimal Control in Dynamical Systems, directed by Mohamad Al Ahdab, Mohammad Sadegh Talebi, and Mustafa Mert Çelikok.
